The earth is so ancient, and yet it is very much like an infant in our hands.

I love the idea of being recalled back into the universe…cradled, buoyed…cribless soul, yes, sounds perfect. So glad to read a poem of yours today, Nan…thanks for sharing.

Thanks. I suspect it was out of place since I wrote it for another posting and lost rack of that! All the prompts and prompt sites are confusing. Do folks mainly choose just one or run through them? How many do you participate in?

If it was for dVerse OLN (open link night), any poem of any form/subject can be submitted. I participate mainly with dVerse Poets Pub and sometimes Poets United. I don’t have a lot of time for so many other communities and some of them are a bit elitist for my taste. So since I am a team member at dVerse, that is my main concentration. Some people belong to several groups and have an unusal talent for melding several prompts into one poem. Kaykula is one of those who is so talented in multitasking. He is very talented. Like you, I too many confuse me. Many communities have set events with set prompt styles. It is just a matter of knowing that one site will have short form one day, open submission another, and on another day, a varying prompt that changes with the week. You may want to explore the various communities to get acquainted with their prompt styles and then choose a couple you enjoy and feel comfortable with. I found dVerse through a poet I admired and became acquainted with the various members and linkers. dVerse schedule is posted on our site. many other communities will also post their prompt schedules.
