IT’S OVER; DONE FOR. The FCC today did away with rules barring internet providers from blocking or slowing down access to online content. The FCC would also eliminate a rule barring providers from prioritizing their own content. According to CNN, during the vote the room had to be emptied due to a security alert. THE BIG GUYS WON AGAIN. (Now I’ll probably be the slowest on their list). LATE P.S.: I

I’ve been speaking to a dear good friend, who knows tech so much better than I do. These are his answers:
“Has your blogger friend shared with you why he has concerns and might stop using? I have read the new policy and it looks pretty solid to me. Ask her if you get a chance. I am pretty happy with this. They ade the wording of it more “layman friendly” and ready for some EU rules that are designed for better protection of the customer. quite the opposite of what the US is doing at the moment. No fears or concerns from my side at all.”

Thanks! I didn’t mean to be paranoid, but I had a myfamily.com site and ancestry.com ended up announcing it owned all the material on the site and a few years later closed down our site! Besides, in the age of Rump, how difficult it is to believe anything! And the network neutrality assurance going out the window. Thanks for your clear head, dear friend!
