It seems the world has changed the grammar rules about its and it’s. Literally! So I ignore those. But what’s the protocol for w
hen a real misspelling is in a Post title or there are a couple of blatant errors? Is it better to ignore them or alert the poster? Yes, I was an English major, but what’s a friendly way to do it or should I just keep quiet?
The person may appreciate the help. I always triple check my posts for grammatical errors.

I hope so, but what about all the misuses of its? (Now I hope I don’t get paranoid about my own spellings!)

I think people are just in too much of a hurry to post. I’ll stop reading a post if the spelling is incorrect.

I wonder how it would be if you asked them in a comment if they would like coaching on their spelling/grammar.

I am so blind to spelling and grammar mistakes! I for one would like to know so I could correct it. A gentle comment pointing out my errors would be fine.
I think if it’s someone you never dealt maybe an email to keep it private.
