Polar bears and penguins,

oh my!

You, me and baby makes three.

Oh oh oh oh!

No no no no!

Strains of Let’s Pretend, that old

radio show,  still plays.

About Nan Mykel

At 79, I was just about to stop keeping a journal, but that felt like accepting that growth was finished. I don't want to be finished, yet! I'm 80 now, and struggling to communicate with you, if you'll come and set awhile. P.S. My how time flies! I'm 83 now.

Well, this may be about that old radio show but what it reminds me of our the primer books that were so popular in the 50s when I was growing up. Somehow I can’t believe we learned to read with See Dick Run. Run! Run! Run!
Smiling I am — whether or not you meant for me to recall those memories. Smiling I am 🙂

PS: meant to add Nan, could you put a reference and link to dVerse at the end of the poem or future ones? That way others can find their way to dVerse — the more the merrier – and I’m so happy to have met you there. 🙂

Very chilling photo and to contrast with the old radio show strain….oh my oh my! I guess we are still pretending we live in a perfect world.

  4. I think this is a radio show i never heard though… but sometimes there are other melodies coming back to me…
