A corny curl

There once was a little tot

who wore her hair up in a  knot.

She was cute and she was pretty

but more was the pity

that little Joe  preferred a girl

who wore her tresses in a curl.

 Tot’s  happy now, and gay.

(written for d’Verse):

About Nan Mykel

At 79, I was just about to stop keeping a journal, but that felt like accepting that growth was finished. I don't want to be finished, yet! I'm 80 now, and struggling to communicate with you, if you'll come and set awhile. P.S. My how time flies! I'm 82 now.

  1. I did correct you link on Mr Linky… should work now, I’m glad for Tot to find his right place in the world.

…tot’s happy now and gay… There is a dual meaning to gay — and either way this tot, all grown up now, is happy within the self. 🙂

  6. Oloriel says:

I love that everything turns out so positive at the end. I also like both your play on the offered poem example for the prompt and the words and tongue twirling while trying to read.

  7. Go, Tot, go! Wear your hair how you like!
