IF I SHOULD DIE WHILE I’M AWAKE – for d’Verse

If I should die while I’m awake

will I go seeking absolution,

dragged down by the shackles

of sin in my swollen belly, or

ship out soundlessly from my berth

into the eternal matrix

where sins are but a fleet of

rubber duckies?

About Nan Mykel

At 79, I was just about to stop keeping a journal, but that felt like accepting that growth was finished. I don't want to be finished, yet! I'm 80 now, and struggling to communicate with you, if you'll come and set awhile. P.S. My how time flies! I'm 82 now.

I have no idea what’s going to happen. Maybe just a change in perspective on reality? The rubber duckies hypothesis sounds interesting. As long as they don’t bite. πŸ™‚
