Mississippi used corporal punishment on students 4300 times last year.  (And that’s a lot fewer than it was just a few years ago). Use of corporal punishment on special education students  was responded to by a 2019 state law which banned the use of corporal punishment on a student with a special education classification.

LURED BY SUSPICION OF A.I….

…on the back covers, I snagged the first copies of The Economist I  ever saw, found on the free shelf at the public library.  …A delightfully surprising read.  I was especially surprised at the information that we used artistic deceit in World War II.  I’m quite behind the times, apparently. Date of the publication was December 19, 2020 and the article was military deception  BODYGUARD OF LIES.

“Five hundred dummies descended on the French coast on the night of June 5th 1944. The crack of  gunfire from each one, courtesy of a small pyrotechnic device. As they thumped to the ground, explosive charges mimicked paratroopers setting their parachutes ablaze.
