Earlier I wrote that I was going to trash my listed Pages, above, but I just re-read one I can’t make myself trash. It’s OUR SHADOW SELVES, too long to replicate and too good to trash. So much for all of my resolutions, which you may have noticed.
Here’s a smidge: Culture’s influence as demonstrated by the Milgram Experiment (1961), which spotlighted man’s vulnerability to the power of obedience to unethical instructions from authority figures: The Stanford Experiment (1971), by Philip Zimbardo revealed the extent to which power corrupts (staged experiment involving “prisoners” and “prison staff”.) The experiment got out of hand, and even Zimbardo was swept up in it. It had to be cancelled because after a week another researcher visited from outside and saw how much the relationships had deteriorated.
P.S. Unfortunately we have no researcher to visit the new administration “from outside.”

WORK BENCH
Life has morphed into a jigsaw
puzzle with all pieces accounted
for, but fewer and much larger.
And I work and re-work the same
chunks day after day after day,
grateful for seeing the biggest ones
fracture, until I am inside
struggling to perfect the content.
Will I come together in time?
Only angels and fairies can tell. Nan
